I promised I was going to try and keep this blog updated but I have been doing a pretty lousy job of it! Let's see, what is new with me lately....I have been doing so much paperwork for stuff that it's coming out my ears! I just finished all my paperwork, fingerprinting, etc so that I can substitute teach in our local school district and I am excited. I can't wait to get back into the classroom, it's where I feel at home and where I am happy. I have also been doing paperwork, background checks and fingerprinting, etc for my Masters degree, it's ridiculous. I can see the light at then end of the tunnel though! I have worked part time or full time since I was 16 so this not working thing has been driving me up the wall, I hope that all my paperwork is processed soon so I can get back out there! Life out here in 29 has been pretty good so far, I have made a friend or two and that's probably what keeps me sane!!! haha. I am thankful for girl time!!! Not that I don't adore my husband because I do.
I can't believe that Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is coming up, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas, it is my absolute favorite holiday! It just makes me giddy! I cannot wait till we have our own little kiddos to spoil! Last weekend we went out and purchased our FIRST Christmas Tree together and we bought all sorts of decorations, it was fantastic. I had so much fun last weekend with my husband. Friday he had off work so we went to Palm Springs and had margaritas and chips and salsa/guac. YUMO. Then we went and bought Christmas decorations for the house and tons of frames for pictures. It was BLACK FRIDAY so we got some excellent deals. We went to this restaurant called the Yardhouse and it has a gazillion types of beers, which was awesome! The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful, it had low lighting and I just for some reason love that. THEN my husband took me to the Cheesecake Factory so I could satisfy my sweet tooth! I really do have an amazing husband, he knows me so well and treats me like a princess! Then Saturday we went and picked out our tree, it took us, mostly ME 30 minutes to decide on a tree @ Home Depot. YES HOME DEPOT...out here in the middle of the desert you cannot grow these wonderful trees haha..they have to be shipped in from other locations. Saturday was great...EXCEPT we came home to find our one dog took a massive crap on our practically brand new couch. My husband said he must be mad at us for some reason...that was not fun to clean up! haha. WHICH REMINDS ME...last week the Monday prior to Thanksgiving, my husband and I were trying to get a 25lb turkey in the oven because we were having a lunch at his office. WELL...his dog has "issues" and next thing I know he bites my leg and then my pinky. Needless to say....I was a mess and we went to the ER on base to make sure it was all okay, they cleaned me up really well and gave me antibiotics. It's over a week later and both places are healing up nicely. That was def. a scary moment. BUT I AM OKAY.
PEACE AND LOVE!

Monday Monday
Ah Monday. How I loathe thee. We had a pretty uneventful weekend but it was definitely a relaxing one for the most part. My husband had recorded this movie called "Misery" on our DVR. It's based off of a Stephen King novel. Let me tell you what, it was definitely creepy but pretty good. This week is looking to be a pretty good one because we have the Marine Corps Birthday Ball coming up on Thursday. I'm pretty excited because I haven't been to one since 2008 since Wolf was in Japan for 2009 & 2010 and then last year he was in Afghanistan. I have to say this year, I really like my dress & I am getting my hair done as well. When I attended in 2008, hated my dress and I didn't even get my hair done, plus I feel like I look better now than I did 4 years ago! HA.
We have been out here in SoCal since May and it has been quite the adjustment at times. I finally feel somewhat settled here & I have met some really nice women so far. I am looking forward to getting more involved with the OSC on my base & also doing more things with the wives of my husbands unit. Finding a job out here hasn't been the easiest task but I have been lucky enough to sign up for substitute teaching at the local school district. I still have some paper work and HR things to finish up before I can even take sub jobs but I am really excited to get back into the classroom. I am starting my Masters in Teaching Elementary Education in January and I can't wait to get started. Originally, my plan was to get my Masters in Education in School Counseling but I decided getting my teaching license would be much quicker & better for the time being. I definitely plan to go back in the future to become a School Counselor.
I pray something comes up job wise in the near future, just something part time would be wonderful!

Fill in the Blank Friday
So I have been MIA from blogging for a pretty long time. I thought maybe I would try a go at it again because my life is always changing & new things are always happening! I will just keep things simple for today!
6. One thing I've never done is fly out of the United States. I've been to Canada but that's it!
1. Something I swore I'd never do, but have ended up doing anyway is marry someone in the military. Funny enough..married one year to a US Marine, we've been together over 4 years and through 2 deployments.
2. Something I've always wanted to do is go to Italy and see all the amazing tourist attractions and eat the amazing food.
3. Something I have absolutely no desire to ever do is eat sushi again..YUCK.
4. The best thing I ever did was get married to my best friend. He is more than just the man I love, he is also my best friend in the whole world. I am so lucky to have someone who I can just be myself with and who accepts me for who I am.
5. When it comes to trying new things, I am all for it depending on what it is. I am kind of a chicken when it comes to trying WEIRD new foods. However, when it comes to doing something crazy and risky..I will always do it.
7. My favorite thing to do is sit at a home on a Friday night in my PJS cuddled on the couch with my husband, watching a movie!
