Summer, Where Did It Go?

I can't believe that we are in the month of August already. I feel like it was just yesterday that I finished up subbing for the school year and flew to VA for grad school classes. Time sure has gone by far too fast and it makes me kind of sad. Although, I will say I am ready to get back to the daily grind, I miss seeing the kiddos and being in the schools!

I haven't posted since May and a lot has happened in that span of time. In the beginning of June I flew back to PA where my family and friends are and visited with them for about a week before I drove to Liberty University(located in Lynchburg, VA) for 2 weeks of grad school "intensives." The first week I took a class called COUN 505, which was a Counseling Techniques class. The second week, I took EDUC 661, which was a School Counseling Program Development and Evaluation class. While, I was nervous in the days/weeks leading up to these courses, it was the best experience I've ever had! I will never forget the wonderful people I came in contact with during those 2 weeks. Not only did I make great friends, I also learned so much from them and from my professors. It truly was a life changing experience.

This summer has been pretty laid back and stress free, I am only taking one online class, which wraps up in about 2 weeks and I have been lucky that it hasn't been a class with a ton of work. I'm trying to enjoy it while I can because before I know it I will be starting fall classes and I will be back to taking a full load of classes with a ton of work. This coming Spring, I will be doing my internship and I will graduate in May. I really had to bust my butt to make this happen but I am proud to say I am still holding that 4.0.  THIS IS THE PLAN but I know sometimes things happen and I may have to change things around. We will see how the next few months play out!

We have one more year left here in the desert and I hope that it goes somewhat slow, I want to enjoy ever minute of it. I am looking forward to finding out where we will be going next and I look forward to the many new people I will meet and the new places we will get to explore.

XOXO

I've Been Gone For Far Too Long

Ugh...I have been neglecting my blog pretty badly! I kind of knew this would happen with doing my Masters and teaching...etc. Life happens, it's crazy and it's busy! I've been busting my butt in my classes and it definitely paid off because I received A's in all 4 classes this Spring. Woot. My goal is to graduate with a 4.0, fingers crossed.

We have about a year left here in SoCal, meaning the Marine Corps can pick to move us anywhere they want..which puts a lot of pressure on me as far as finishing my degree.  Yes, the majority of it is online, however I would prefer to do my internship here in SoCal next Spring. Why? Because who knows where we could get based at next, they could send us off to another country for all I know, which will delay finishing my degree...NO BUENO! PLUS...I already teach in this school district and therefore the schools already have me cleared and they know who I am...so much easier than just showing up at a brand new area, where you aren't familiar with anything they do! I need to make a decision about what I am going to do over the next few days....blah.

It's that time of year where many families are PCSing....today I was driving home and I saw a big moving truck outside a house..and it made my heart sad. Sometimes I forget that we are only here for a short amount of time and that we will be moving next year.  I really have come to love this place and I finally feel settled after being here a year.  It stinks because by the time you get settled and feel comfortable somewhere, before you know it..time to move again.  Meaning...making new connections, finding a new job, finding a new dentist and doctor, making new friends, etc etc etc. UGH! the list goes on! Oh well, I have learned to just embrace this lifestyle after dealing with it for the past 5 years...

I have found that my life has only been full of obstacles and nothing has ever just been handed to me. I have always had to work hard for the things I want....sometimes it frustrates me that some people get things in life so easily, whereas for me nothing has ever come easy...however, I continue to be grateful for the wonderful things that I do have right now and try not to dwell on the things I don't have yet.  I know that God has a plan for me and he will give me the things I ask for when he believes the time is right.  As long as I continue to trust in him...I can't go wrong.

xoxo, Sarah

April....

I can't believe we are coming to the end of April already!!! This month just flew by for me. I am in week 6/8 of my second set of grad school classes and I am so looking forward to being done with them. Although, they have been time consuming and stressful, I am doing very well in them and learning a great deal! I am taking 2 summer classes in VA for 2 weeks and I have a feeling they are going to be pretty intense and I am just hoping and praying they go well. After they are over, we are going to visit our family in PA and my brother is getting married! We haven't been to PA since October last year, so it will be nice to go back and see everyone. I love living here in Cali and having my own life but my whole life I've grown up with family all around me so it's very different.
I've been MIA from blogging for the most part but life has been pretty crazy busy. This week the schools are on spring break so I have some down time, which is fab! I guess I just haven't been in the blogging mood....hopefully once things calm down, I will get back in the swing of things!

Drained.

I have come to the conclusion that I am emotionally and mentally trained....thanks to school, work, and some other personal matters going on in my life.  I just feel like I have hit a wall.  I need a vacation..bad. BUT sadly NO break for me until the end of June. ugh.

This Week...

It has not been an easy week, it's been a rough one! I can't really say all the reasons why.  One thing I can tell you is that my MacBook Pro crashed yesterday...thankfully I have everything backed up BUT it's on the apple time capsule WHICH we can't even figure out to access the files from my laptop on, it's ridic! Second, I just had a bad work day yesterday, nothing maj but my patience were tested to the fullest! I just try to stay positive and continue to be thankful for the things I have.  Weeks like this I remind myself that God is in control and with him I will get through this.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

I'm Back...

Life has been crazy hectic lately so I haven't posted in awhile! I started my second set of classes for grad school and they have been a lot more time consuming than the first set.  We went to Vegas for my birthday 2 weekends ago and I had a really nice time but the place is crazy this time of year! There were college kids there on spring break...so the amount of crazy was much higher! On another note, my parents flew in from PA this past Thursday and they just left yesterday.  I was so sad to see them leave and I felt like they were here for a millisecond, it went way too fast! We had such a great time though! I have to say that my parents are pretty cool and definitely fun to be around! They got in Thursday evening, so we picked them up at the airport in Palm Springs and then brought them back to our house.  Friday we spent the day showing them the Marine Corps base, I even got to see some things on base that I haven't yet seen.  We then took them to Joshua Tree National Park for the afternoon/evening and showed them some cool sites there! Saturday we headed back to the Palm Springs area and took them on the tram, which they really enjoyed! After that, we had lunch at one of our favorite places--Las Casuelas, a Mexican restaurant in downtown Palm Springs.  My mom and I then went and did some damage at Sephora---Love that store.  Then we made our way to San Diego.  We stayed at a hotel right on the bay and had a really nice breakfast Sunday morning, then off we went to tour around! We showed them some more really cool sites in the area and then we finished up the evening by heading to the Marine Corps base-Camp P.--we stayed at one of their cottages on the beach, it was absolutely gorgeous! We of course hit up Outback for dinner and stopped and picked up some supplies for smores! Monday we did a little shopping and had lunch at Olive Garden and then headed back to Twentynine Palms! That is at least the bare bones of the trip! The past 2 weeks have been GO GO GO...so I am looking forward to just relaxing this weekend and staying in for the most part! I don't see any big travel plans in our near future....

Friday--ONE WEEK

My birthday is ONE week from today. EEEeeek. I'm mostly excited because I can't even remember the last time Wolf & I spent my birthday together!!! We started dating Summer 2008 and I am pretty sure 2009 was the only birthday we spent together! 2010 and 2011 he was in Japan and in 2012 he was in Afghanistan. We are going to Vegas for the weekend and I couldn't be more excited.  I went with my sister last summer on our road trip out here BUT we were there for less than a day.  We came, spent the night and the next morning we went to the Titanic museum, then left! So I am excited to go see a lot more of Vegas...maybe see a show, eat at a couple places and do some shopping!! :) We aren't going to drink and party, we both are past that stage in our life!

My week free of grad school is coming to a close and I've already logged on to check out what my workload is going to be like for the next 8 weeks!  It doesn't look too bad, however I do have ANOTHER research paper to do but oh well, that's to be expected! I plan to enjoy this weekend as much as possible and work hard early in the week and have everything done before next weekend so I can enjoy my birthday!

Have a great weekend!

Tuesday Recap

The weather sure is getting nice here in Southern Cali. The temps are rising and it's getting so warm. They are saying it will hit 90 this week/weekend! WOAH! Time to bust out my shorts I suppose. I spent all day yesterday cleaning the house from top to bottom, which means I went through all my clothes. I pushed my colder weather attire to the back of my closet and pulled my warmer weather attire to the front! Love it. I'm not looking forward to showing off my pale legs BUT I have learned to embrace my paleness.  I never really appreciated it until I dated a guy who thought it was the greatest thing ever, lets just say ever since that....I learned to love it! This is my week off between classes and I am enjoying every second of it! It feels weird to not be checking blackboard constantly or freaking out because I have a paper to write! ha. I finished up my first 2 classes Friday and I already received one grade and it was an A! That was the class that I felt was the hardest and required the most work! Now, I am just waiting for my professor to grade my final paper in my other class but I am about 99.9% sure I am going to have an A in that class as well! I can't believe next week is my birthday---my husband is taking me to Vegas and I have no idea what I want to do there, the options are endless! YIKES!

On another note, who watched the season finale of the Bachelor last night? THIS GIRL! Just like I predicted, that note was NOTHING. I really didn't see him picking Katherine, I thought for sure it was going to be Lindsay.  Second, I don't know what their rush is to get married, they barely know each other.  Three, are they rushing into things because they are afraid they won't make it just like every other bachelor couple in the past???  I think Katherine is a nice enough person but I will never forget what she said to her sisters about engagement and just trying it out.  I've known my husband for 5 years now and I still feel like I learn something new about him all the time!!!  But hey...to each their own!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far!

Sarah P.

Saturday Share

A friend of mine shared this on facebook today and I wanted to share it with all of you. To Moms, soon to be moms and future moms, this is for you!

 _______________________________________________________

(For all the mother's (including pregnant ones) in the world, this one is for you! - Author Unknown)
We are sitting at lunch one day when my daughter casually mentions that she and her husband are thinking of "starting a family." "We're taking a survey," she says half-joking. "Do you think I should have a baby?"

"It will change your life," I say, carefully keeping my tone neutral.

"I know," she says, "no more sleeping in on weekends, no more spontaneous vacations."

But that is not what I meant at all. I look at my daughter, trying to decide what to tell her. I want her to know what she will never learn in childbirth classes.

I want to tell her that the physical wounds of child bearing will heal, but becoming a mother will leave her with an emotional wound so raw that she will forever be vulnerable.

I consider warning her that she will never again read a newspaper without asking, "What if that had been MY child?" That every plane crash, every house fire will haunt her.

That when she sees pictures of starving children, she will wonder if anything could be worse than watching your child die.

I look at her carefully manicured nails and stylish suit and think that no matter how sophisticated she is, becoming a mother will reduce her to the primitive level of a bear protecting her cub. That an urgent call of "Mom!" will cause her to drop a soufflé or her best crystal without a moments hesitation.

I feel that I should warn her that no matter how many years she has invested in her career, she will be professionally derailed by motherhood. She might arrange for childcare, but one day she will be going into an important business meeting and she will think of her
baby's sweet smell. She will have to use every ounce of discipline to keep from running home, just to make sure her baby is all right.

I want my daughter to know that every day decisions will no longer be routine. That a five year old boy's desire to go to the men's room rather than the women's at McDonald's will become a major dilemma. That right there, in the midst of clattering trays and screaming
children, issues of independence and gender identity will be weighed against the prospect that a child molester may be lurking in that restroom.

However decisive she may be at the office, she will second-guess herself constantly as a mother.

Looking at my attractive daughter, I want to assure her that eventually she will shed the pounds of pregnancy, but she will never feel the same about herself.

That her life, now so important, will be of less value to her once she has a child. That she would give herself up in a moment to save her offspring, but will also begin to hope for more years, not to accomplish her own dreams, but to watch her child accomplish theirs.

I want her to know that a cesarean scar or shiny stretch marks will become badges of honor.

My daughter's relationship with her husband will change, but not in the way she thinks.

I wish she could understand how much more you can love a man who is careful to powder the baby or who never hesitates to play with his child.

I think she should know that she will fall in love with him again for reasons she would now find very unromantic.

I wish my daughter could sense the bond she will feel with women throughout history who have tried to stop war, prejudice and drunk driving.

I want to describe to my daughter the exhilaration of seeing your child learn to ride a bike.

I want to capture for her the belly laugh of a baby who is touching the soft fur of a dog or cat for the first time.

I want her to taste the joy that is so real it actually hurts.

My daughter's quizzical look makes me realize that tears have formed in my eyes. "You'll never regret it," I finally say. Then I reached across the table, squeezed my daughter's hand and offered a silent prayer for her, and for me, and for all the mere mortal women who stumble their way into this most wonderful of callings.
Please share this with a Mom that you know or all of your girlfriends who may someday be Moms. May you always have in your arms the one who is in your heart.

Answered Prayers

God truly does work in mysterious ways.  It's the last week of my first 2 grad school classes, all my work is done, now I just need to submit everything tonight. I have a week off, then I am starting 2 more classes for 8 weeks! The one class is called "Foundations in Exceptionality"  For this class, I am required to do some hours working with exceptional students and I have been thinking about what school I should do it at here.  Well today my prayers were answered because I was supposed to have a 6th grade subbing job for half a day, which didn't happen.  I showed up and apparently my job was "supposed" to be cancelled but that never happened, so one of the special education teachers needed help with paperwork. Off I went to help her for 3 hours and as I was sitting there, it hit me, OMG I can ask her if I can do my hours here! So....at the end of the day, I did just this!! I am so excited that today worked out the way it did and that I found a classroom to do my hours in, with a teacher that happens to be extremely nice.  It's just so CRAZY how things work out perfectly and come together!  Thank you Lord for giving me this great opportunity! I am so blessed!!! While some of my sub jobs have been stressful, I am so glad for each job. I learn something new each time.  I've always been passionate about working with children and with each good job I have...the more I feel that passion grow. I know that my masters degree is going to be stressful at times but it will be worth it in the end!

Tuesday Recap..

So last night I tuned in to watch the Bachelor...the WOMEN TELL ALL....
This went down just as I expected for the most part...Tierra played it off like she didn't do a thing wrong, but she only made herself look worse, ummm go figure! She's so ridiculous...the thing that kinda made me go HUH? was Chris asked her "So when did you get engaged?" Her response was "No comment."  SAY WHAT? Chris was even boggled by her response, then she goes on to say "January" OMG what was so difficult and secretive about that?  There probably isn't even a guy, she probably bought that ring herself off ebay...hahahah

Then we have Ashlee, BTW what was up with her hair? I did not like that color on her at all!!!! Last week we saw her leave...PEEVED as heck, she didn't say more than a few words to him! When she faced off with Sean, she only made herself look like a big jerk, oh and pathetic with the crap she said and accused him of. Get over it, he's just not that in to you, DUH!!!!!

As far as who should be the next Bachelorette.... my vote is for either Sarah or Des, they are both just sweet and deserving women!

AND okay...they keep showing this note in the advertisement for the finale....we all know it's probably NOTHING and they are just trying to get us going, so that they can get more people to tune in...come on...you know how TV works, esp this show!? AND EVERY season they ALWAYS say....the most shocking finale in bachelor history...yay yay...sure it is!

Looking forward to next week....I AM TEAM LINDSAY!

Mrs. Cranky Pants

So do you ever have days where you are just totally CRANKY.  I mean Thursday and especially Friday night, I felt like I was going to lose my mind and knock someone's head off.  I haven't felt this irritable in a long time!  I chalk it up to my subbing job this week because I seriously think the class used up every ounce of patience I could possibly have in 2 days.  I love kiddos, that's why I am in the education field but in the past I've always dealt with classes where the kids knew how to listen.  I just feel like between writing papers all of last weekend and then going straight into a stressful subbing job caused me to lose my mind temporarily. I am really hoping a weekend of fun and relaxation with my husband will cure me of this cranky feeling.  Which will allow me to face this coming week head on....3 days of subbing and my FINAL week of classes for this term.

It's MARCH

Yay for it being the month of March!!!

When I think of March, I think of Washington D.C. cherry blossoms....
Photo Credit: ME Sarah Powell (D.C.)
This makes me homesick for the east coast...SO BAD.

 March also means...MY BIRTHDAY!

My parents are coming out to visit at the end of the month for a few days, looking forward to that as well.  My sister has been the only one to visit out here in Cali...she rode out here from PA with me in June last year and then came to stay with me last September for a week while Wolf was away on a hunting trip!
It will be nice to show them the base because they've never been to one before plus we are planning on taking them to Vegas and some other places! Should be interesting!
Also, YAY for it being FRIDAY and my husband is HOME from his trip. Things can start to go back to normal but I will admit it was nice to spend some time by myself.

that I enjoy going completely make up free all day...pure bliss

that I would rather rearrange the house then do a small paper...

P.S. GUESS WHO IS IN THE FINAL TWO FOR THE BACHELOR?? MY FAV--LINDSAY!

Ahh...

I've been so busy lately with subbing, which is fabulous but exhausting. I have 4 days this week and so far 3 next week! My first round of classes is almost over and I can't believe it.  I handed in this big Lit Review this past weekend and I am so nervous to get my grade back, blah.  I just started this degree but I decided I want to also add on to it.  Since my degree is a form of a counseling degree, I can take a few more classes and add some more hours, etc and get my masters in LPC, aka licensed professional counseling.  This would open up more doors for me as far as jobs.  Right now thinking of all this schooling exhausts me but I know it will be so worth it.

On another note, a few posts ago I talked to you about the new Proactiv Plus that I purchased--I can see a change in my skin, it really looks so much better BUT just like the regular Proactiv, it did start to dry my skin out after a few days. I was using 2x a day, morning and night BUT I wasn't using any moisturizer, which I normally always do. SO I highly recommend to make sure you are using lots of it while using this product, so your skin does not dry out!!! Right now I am giving my skin a break from Proactiv Plus until I can get my skin back to normal!

Let's Talk About Last Night..

The Oscars....I of course missed the first part of them because I was finishing up grad school papers...yuck!

Did you notice all the men sporting beards on the red carpet last night?? One stood out to me in particular and his name is...Chris Pine, he is just one good looking man...whew.

I always have adored Jennifer Lawrence and after last night, I love her even more! Yes, she fell going up the stairs to accept her award, but she bounced back perfectly and I LOVED that she got up there and basically made fun of herself! It wasn't awkward at all!!

On another note, I am looking forward to watching the Bachelor tonight....I'm still bummed about him sending home Des last week but I'm looking forward to seeing how these dates go tonight...

Sunday Social

1. What was your biggest middle school fashion mistake?
Glasses and braces in my opinion! HA

2. Who were your best friends in high school? Pics?
I had one best friend in high school, Kylie! Here is the summer before our senior year in high school at Disney in Florida!

3. What was a typical weekend like for you in high school?
A typical weekend for me in high school was usually hanging out with friends or hanging out with my high school boyfriend.

 4. Did you have any boyfriends/girlfriends? Tell us about that.
I had one boyfriend in high school, I dated him my Jr & Sr year and into college but then I broke up with him my sophomore year in college. That's it.

5. Did you have any secret codes with your friends? Spill your secrets!
Not that I can recall.

6. If you could relive one day/moment/experience from middle school or high school, what would it be?
Although high school was full of drama at times, I wouldn't change a thing about it...not the people I dated, the friends I had, nothing! If I could relive one moment, it would probably be Prom.

Marine Wife Home and Life

Friday Frenzy

Oh my weekend is not going to be a fun one.  I have to finish my Lit Review and start a rough draft for another paper. UGH UGH UGH. This is the hardest week yet but thankfully it's almost over and once it is, I can relax.  I think this quote best suits my situation....

So true. Especially in grad school.

2 more weeks left then HELLO week break before I start 2 entirely new classes!
I am glad to be feeling back to normal today, I had a migraine for 4 days straight, which made writing a paper next to impossible!

A few posts back I talked about cutting my hair...I've been growing it out for 2 years now and it's just gotten to that point where I can't stand it anymore. I had an appt to get my hair colored yesterday afternoon and I was only supposed to get a trim...well I chopped a little hair off, it feel so much better, plus it's hair, it will grow back! Here's a picture....

I always feel so much better after a cut and color!

I hope ya'll have a more exciting weekend planned than I do!

Thursday Thoughts

Whenever I was in high school, I had minor acne like any teenager, so a friend of mine turned me to Proactiv and I loved it.  However, I only used it here and there over the years.    Lately I have felt like my skin has been hating on me and I saw an advertisement for a new line called Proactiv Plus. I thought, why not give it a shot?  I ordered it! It came in the mail yesterday and I've only used it two times but I have to say, my skin feels great so far. It feels refreshed and smooth! Obviously, I can't give a good solid review until after I've been using it for awhile but I am really pleased so far! My kit came with a couple different things:

kitImage
    • Skin Smoothing Exfoliator
    • Pore Targeting Treatment
    • Complexion Perfecting Hydrator
    • Mark Fading Pads
    • Eye Brightening Serum

I also received a free gift: Skin Purifying Mask
For more info on all of these products click HERE
    Skin Purifying Mask

I will give a solid review in about a month!

    My Etsy Shop

Last year I opened up an etsy shop but I never put anything in it! HA. Well today I finally did!

    CHECK ME OUT!

When I was planning my wedding, I was searching EVERYWHERE for a unique program design for my ceremony and I could not for the life of me find anything I loved! So, I decided to just come up with something of my own and I DID! It turned out far better than I could have ever hoped for and I loved designing it and working on it, it was so much fun!!!

I can put a unique and personal spin on: Save the Dates, Wedding Programs, Bridal Shower Invites, Baby Shower Invites, Birthday Party Invites AND MUCH MORE!

    PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!!

    My Love of Makeup.....

Over the years, I have always been on a constant search for the perfect foundation.  I am very fair skinned, so it has always been difficult to find a good match for me. Everything I would buy would either make my skin look yellow or it would be too dark.  Last year I finally decided to check out Sephora and that's when my love affair began! I went in and one of the associates was able to help me find the right shade and brand for my skin. I found out I had pink undertones...NEVER knew that! I also found out that I needed to exfoliate more, so that my makeup would look better!

My absolute favorite foundation in the whole world is by MAKE UP FOR EVER: HD Invisible Cover Foundation. This stuff is amazing, not only does it match my skin tone, it covers well BUT it's LIGHTWEIGHT! How awesome is that! It is pricey at $42.00 a bottle but I would rather spend the extra money on something I love than waste my money over and over again on a product that I do not! PLUS, a little goes a long way, so you can make it last

Another great product by MAKE UP FOR EVER:HD Microfinish Powder! I love this product because it sets your make up! You apply this with a round brush after you've put on your foundation.
It keeps your face looking fab.  This will cost you $32.00 but it will last you a LONG time because you don't need to use much at all!

These are just two products that I love from Sephora, trust me there are many more but I will save those for another day!!

    Say What?!

I TOTALLY called it on that ex-boyfriend showing up...I knew it seemed staged and it WAS! What wasn't staged was how that brother of Des acted! He was a total and complete jerk!!! He needs a swift kick in the butt!! I really think he may have been the reason she went home!

I was so upset whenever Sean sent Des home, my heart broke, I really felt like he sent the wrong girl home!!! Who should have gone home? Catherine. I don't feel like her heart is really in it and that she isn't ready to settle down. I mean for goodness sakes, her sisters asked her point blank if she would say yes if Sean proposed and her response was "I would try it out"  You do not "try" engagement out!!!!!! She should have went home, I thought for sure she would have.  I have a hunch she will be gone next week!

    Lindsay
Lindsay is my top runner and pick for Sean...and it has nothing to do with the fact that she is a teacher or military brat, although it doesn't hurt!I just think she seems like an all around genuine person and she has managed to stay out of the drama throughout this show.

I honestly had the final two pegged as Lindsay & Des and I think either one would have been perfect for him...I secretly am hoping he brings Des back but I don't see it happening! Who is your pick for the final rose?

    OH MY.....YUM-O

So tonight.....I decided to bake a cake and I watched to use a chocolate icing, so I searched and searched the net for a good recipe. I came across one on the Martha Stewart website and it has to be
the most amazing, best tasting chocolate icing I've ever had or made!

Here is the recipe below but you can also see it at this link....I just used a different form of chocolate than they did.

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1 cup egg whites (about 6 large)
    • 1 1/4 cups (2 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
    • 16 ounces dark chocolate, melted and cooled slightly (I used 2 cups of Hershey's Cocoa instead)

     Directions
    1. Place sugar and egg whites in the bowl of an electric mixer set over (but not touching) a pan of simmering water. Whisk constantly until mixture is heated and sugar is dissolved. Attach bowl to an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment and continue whisking until cooled and stiff peaks form, about 7 minutes.
    2. With the mixer running, add butter, one piece at a time, until completely incorporated. Continue whisking until a light, fluffy cream has formed. Stir in chocolate until well combined.
