Maniac Monday

Well, today I started my volunteer work through the American Red Cross, I am currently tutoring elementary students in the mornings 3 days a week.  I have to say...I absolutely love it! I have always enjoyed working one on one with students way more than standing in front of a classroom of 30 kids.  Whenever I did my student teaching last year, there were a few times where the teacher I worked with would send me off with one-four students and work with them on stuff, that's when I truly realized how much I loved working in small groups.  If I could just get my Reading Specialist certification and skip getting my teaching license, I would do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, in order to even go to school for that, I have to have my license and I just don't have any interest whatsoever in doing it. MAYBE someday there will some kind of exception to that rule but who knows. Today marks the halfway point of my first set of 8 week grad classes. WOOHOO. I must say, it has gone by rather fast so far.  Our weekend was filled with a bunch of boring....we went grocery shopping Saturday and we spent Sunday at home minus an hour motorcycle ride. I cooked up some snacks for the Super Bowl & we watched the game. It was definitely an interesting one to watch, I will say that. I was rooting for San Fran, of course but they didn't win and honestly, it was a close game so they should feel proud of themselves regardless. My husband had off work today, we did some stuff at the house then we went to SONIC....we haven't been there in awhile. After that, we drove through JT National Park and did a little hike! It was gorgeous weather here today and the perfect day to be outside! Hopefully this week proves to be a positive one!
